My favorite things!

This is in reply to Alice Ann's blog..in the spirit of Oprah's favorite things.

My favorite things:

1. Mylicon and Homeopathic Teething Drops....without these two items I don't know what I would do. They tie as my #1.

2. My video monitor...if you don't have one, it's awesome! Especially when they get older it is so funny to watch them.

3. Aveeno baby wash and lotion...Parker has very sensitive skin and this helps it stay clear.

4. We have a toy that looks like a walker but is stationary and has all sorts of fun things on it(Thanks Aunt Charman for this FUN toy, both the boys have loved it!). He loves to sit in the seat and play!

5. Our boppy! I think everyone loves their boppy!

6. Pampers diapers....I buy them for Bryant and Parker!

7. I have to agree with Remica...the formula dispenser...a mommy must have invented it.

8. The double stroller...without it I would never go anywhere.

9. Green and clean place mats...if you have a toddler who doesn't like to sit at the table at a restraunt, trust me the day will come, then this is your life saver! They stick great and they are fun to color on. Plus, you can put food on it instead of the table..no germs...and at the end you roll it all up and throw it away..no mess!

10. My DVR..I would NEVER watch TV without it.

For those of you who don't know, we evacuated for the Hurricane and because of the stories that we heard and I am glad that we did. I have to say that my boys were WONDERFUL, considering the circumstances. Bryant didn't eat very well while we were gone, I guess that is how he was dealing with the change in his routine. I on the other hand, ate enough for both of us. I think I gained 10 pounds on our little "Hurrication". Both of the boys slept well, especially Parker! He was super excited to sleep in bed with mommy and daddy for 7 days. I was dreading taking him home and putting him in his bed, but he adjusted just fine. I started back to school on Wednesday, so we are back into full swing again.

After we got back home I decided it would be a great time to put Parker in his bedroom, up until this point he was sleeping in a travelyard in our room. Since, I decided to make this change we had to move the video monitor from Bryant's room to Parker's room. This was so hard for me to do. I loved watching Bryant on the video monitor because he would do the funniest things before he went to sleep. Now, I just wonder what he is doing in there and if he is asleep yet. Bryant likes to play a whole baseball game in his bed when he is bored and he will talk with his teddy bear Turbo. David told me I had to let him go, but he is not even 2 yet and it was not an easy thing for me to do. So, now we watch Parker...he just lays there now, but before long he will be doing funny stuff too..I hope!

Where did the time go?

I am not sure where I have been lately (maybe dealing with Parker), but Bryant has seemed to grow up overnight. He has started copying everything you say, which can be a bad thing or a funny thing. He acts like a little boy now instead of a little baby. He has been such a loving little boy lately, his new thing is to run up and give my leg a hug or grab me around the neck and hug as tightly as he can. I LOVE it when he gives me the hugs and I don't have to ask for them it makes them so much more special! I just can't believe that he is about to be two. Every time I think about it I get teary eyed...I am guessing this is normal. It's not that I don't want him to grow up, it's that I can't believe that he already has. It seems like yesterday we were dealing with him starting to teethe and getting excited about him learning to smile. But, now we are constantly laughing at his antics and trying not to laugh at him when we are getting on to him and he says "NO,NO Mommy" or "Stop". I try to keep a straight face, but he is so darn cute. I know that they say time passes and they grow up before you know it, but I didn't believe it went that fast until I was a parent myself. I have learned to cherish Bryant and Parker at every stage, because I know it won't last forever.

I meant to say that the first picture on the last blog was my favorite. I like the last one too, but Parker was only 4 weeks old in that picture. Enjoy the pictures!

Back to work!

Well, summer is over and I am back to work. I love my job, but I hate leaving my boys. During the school year, I see my students more than my own children...this can be a hard thing to deal with sometimes. Bryant and Parker seem to be getting into the school routine, which is getting up early and Daddy taking them to Nana's house. Parker has started sleeping through the night...HALLELUJAH!!! He couldn't have picked a better time, I think that he knew Mommy needed her sleep to function properly at work. But, now that I have written that he probably won't sleep through the night tonight. They always prove you wrong when you decide to brag on them. Bryant goes to bed about 8:30pm and sleeps until 7:00am; Parker goes to bed about 9:30 or 10:00pm and sleeps until 7:00am. What more could a mommy ask for?

They are both getting so big and Bryant amazes me everyday with things that he can do or words that he can say. Right now, his new thing is to push cars, trucks, books anything he can find across the floor and make car sounds. He also loves to wear socks on his hands...kinda like Micheal Jackson and his glove. When Bryant puts a sock on his hand or a hat on his head he becomes some kind of character that he has made up, it is so funny...he definitely has an imagination! Parker aka "Moose" (this is what Bryant and I call him) has found his hands and loves to chew on them. He is also smiling, laughing and talking more and more each day. I can't believe that he will be 4 months old in a couple of weeks. Bryant will be 23 months old on September 5th. I can't wait to start planning his birthday party! I am sure we will have it at Chuck E Cheese, his favorite place, he has been there so many times that he knows when he leaves he has to show them his hand where they stamped it when we came in. Pretty smart for a one year old! I am looking forward to the weekend, so that I can spend sometime with my little men. It's only our first week back, but I am already starting to have Bry-Bry and Moose withdrawals. I will post some new pictures of them soon!

Another Great Day!

What a great day we had today! Bryant helped his daddy make me a card for my birthday he signed(colored) his name and wrote I love you, it was so sweet. He was so proud when he gave it to me..he said "see mom, see", like he was telling me look what I did for you. Then we went to McDonald's for story and playtime. Then Bry and I tried to go to Pump it Up, but of course it was closed and he couldn't jump. So , we went to Walmart and he got a watch,which of course had baseballs, basketballs, footballs and soccer balls on it. He also got a Cars t-shirt, but only because he saw it freaked out, yelling "see cars mom, see cars..drive, drive" he then took it upon himself to throw the shirt in the basket. So, tonight for bed he HAD to wear his Cars shirt, watch Cars and was drinking out of his Cars cup. I forgot to mention in the last blog that he LOVES to drive, it is what he talks about when he is not talking about baseball. When he loves something, he LOVES it with all of his heart!

Parker slept almost all day, I think he is getting sick..poor little thing. There isn't ever much to write about him, because he is still in the eating, sleeping, pooping stage. Nothing too exciting. He has on the other hand grown A LOT! He is now almost out of his 3-6 month clothes and is quickly growing into the 6-9 month clothing. Luckily we have a lot of clothes from Bryant, but I have a feeling that in the next year he is going to out grow his big brother and we will be passing clothes from Parker to Bryant instead of the other way around.

Another day has come and gone and tomorrow my little boy will be 12 weeks old and in 2 months my other little boy will be 2 years old. I can't believe it.
