I got behind the lense of my NEW Nikon on Thursday night to re-shoot Misty's pictures. They turned out really good. Now I am just hoping that we have gotten it to the printer in enough time to get it back by Friday. Here is one of the shots..I will post more later, but I don't want to ruin what the beautiful bride will look like for everyone who is going to be at the wedding.

Well, I got a new camera and we re-shot Misty's Bridal portraits last night. They turned out great and we actually recreated THE picture that Misty originally wanted. Plus, we tried some new poses and came up with some really cute pictures. I have been carrying the camera around with me all day...with my luck I am NOT going to leave it anywhere until we take these pictures off and make at least 6 copies.
Parker has also been sick this week. Tuesday night he was up from 11:00pm-6:00am and then Wednesday night he was up from 11:00-2:00. Last night he woke up at 12:45, ate and then went back to sleep until I was leaving around 7:30 this morning...Thank goodness!! He has a little ear infection and was running a high fever. He hasn't had any fever since yesterday morning. I think we are turning the corner!
Bryant has not tried to climb out of his bed anymore..hopefully it was just a phase and we can keep him in the baby bed a little longer. Usually he goes to bed around 8:30 every night, but last night he was HYPER ( I think it had to do with the bag of M&M's that Mamaw fed him for dinner last night..well she says it was 1/4 of a bag). He was running all over the house and then decided that he was going to tackle Charlie. He ran dove onto Charlie(which of course Charlie jumped up) and this sent Bry flipping in the air...he actually did a full flip. Bryant thought it was hilarious and kept trying to do it over and over again. He succeeded again, but we tried to distract him..I just knew he was going to fly into the table and bust his head open. By 10:30 he finally settled down and went to sleep. What a crazy week!

This morning David went out to start the truck, he wanted to get it nice and toasty for the boys since it was kind of chilly this morning. When he got out there he discovered that my car had been broken into. They stole my laptop and my camera out of the front floorboard. It not only had Misty's new bridal portraits on there, but it also had pictures of Bryant from age 3 months till recent and all of Parker's pictures from the hospital until now. It also had every picture I have taken since I graduated from college...5 years worth of pictures. I know that it was partly my fault for leaving it in the car, but last night we both had our hands full of groceries, bags and little boys. I actually forgot about it or I would have gone back out and gotten it out of the car. This was NOT good timing for this to happen and now we are trying to figure out how I am going to take Misty's wedding pictures since I am her photographer. Remica has graciously offered to let me borrow her camera and that may be what I have to do until I figure out something else. I am just glad that they didn't try to break into our house and no one got hurt.
It has been a stinky last couple of months.

Thanksgiving is only 5 days away and I was wondering what to be thankful for. We lost my Grandpa today...he passed at 11:30a.m. and I was watching our family stand around his bedside as he took his last breaths I was thinking that I was thankful for many things and here they are:
I am thankful that I had 27 wonderful years filled with precious memories with my Grandpa.
I am thankful that he got to see my two little boys and that he got to love on them and get to know them.
I am thankful that we have such a strong, loving and close family.
I am thankful for the role models that my grandparents were to my parents which therefore made them great role models for me.
I am thankful that my grandparents had such a wonderful marriage!
I am thankful for the time my grandpa has spent with me.
I am thankful that he taught me how to drive(it was great quality time with him).
I am thankful that he was saved and I will see him again one day.
I am thankful that I have a Grandma who is so faithful that she has been a rock during the last couple of days.
I am thankful for our extended family and friends that have been by our side and at the hospital through this whole ordeal.
I am thankful for Ike...without that Hurricane we wouldn't have spent 5 days full of special family time, we played outside and just visited with each other...with no electricity there is nothing else to do!
I am thankful that my grandpa taught me how to play roulette and that they got to Vegas with us so many times.
I am thankful for Mr. Bear..my grandpa bought him for me the day I was born and I still have him. Now he is more special than ever!
My list could go on and on and some of these things may seem silly to some people but it means a lot to me. Even in spite of our circumstance we still have lots to be thankful for.
Bryant has figured out how to climb out of his baby bed. I didn't think that it would happen so soon, but I guess that he has decided that he is a big boy. He has climbed out two nights in a row and I am afraid that the next time he will get hurt. The first night that he climbed out we heard a tap-tap on his door and David said "I think he is out of his bed" and I was like NO WAY! I went to his room and there he was standing in the middle of his room. He was shaking like a leaf repeating over and over again.."I did it, I did it". I think that it scared him and that he couldn't believe what happened. It was like he had been planning it for months and just got the nerve to try and climb out. Last night he was more proud than scared and when I put him back to bed he didn't try to get out again. I was hoping it was a one time thing, but I guess we will see what happens tonight. If we have to switch to the toddler bed I am afraid that he will NEVER lay down and go to sleep at night. I hope this is an easy transition for both of us! I will keep you updated on what happens with my little climber.

Well, it's been awhile since I have been behind the camera. I guess I got too busy and I think I had lost a little bit of the passion. I am trying to remeber why I love it and get back some of the passion that I once had in college and what better way than to take pictures of my precious little boys!
