As you all know with two babies life can sometimes be CRAZY! Well, here is a run down of our fun, crazy weekend!
On Friday night we didn't do much; we went to Grandma's and ate dinner with the family (our cousin Karen was in from Cali) and of course with Bryant and Maddie together you better be ready for some fights and some laughs! Not only do they jump on the bed, but Bryant also likes to tackle Maddie like they are football players. He doesn't understand that she is a little girl. Most of the time they will sit in the chair and play on the computer together, but they were both tired so there was more arguing over toys than normal. Tracy and I just laugh, we both figure that with their ages it is going to continue to happen. It will probably even continue when they are teens and they are picking on each other. I am just wondering what it's going to be like when Park starts walking, talking and taking toys too...it should make for even crazier nights! At one point Bryant had his new singing tooth brush Oma gave him and he was trying to get away from Maddie, he fell and the toothbrush hit him in the eye; luckily it was nothing major just a little bit of crying..OK a lot of crying, but once he was distracted with a toy he was fine.
On Saturday, we went to the mall to play and eat some yummy food. Bryant was running around the playground jumping off of the toys...he even tried to tackle a little kid (what am I going to do?). While we were there the little security people went crazy and kicked out like three kids that were apparently too big to be in there playing. One of them was almost my size so I had to agree. I also enjoy that it's only little kids, because when the bigger kids are in there they get Bryant all wound up. After we left the mall, we went home took Daddy some dinner (he was working nights) and then we went to Wal-mart. This has become a big ordeal with two children...Bryant is so big that with him and the diaper bag NOTHING else really fits in the basket. Not to mention that he tries to throw things out as I put them in the basket. Parker just hangs out in the front and occasionally tries to reach around and pull Bry's hair(I think he is trying to get him back for all the times he has hit him in the head). But, we had to go we were completely out of diapers. When we were leaving Wal-mart Nana called and asked if we wanted to meet her and Autumn at the park, so off we went..by this time it's five something and Bryant has had NO nap...when we get there Bryant runs around and starts throwing the mulch that is on the playground. He loved the playground but there is not much for little kids to do, it is a very modern playground and I can't even figure out how most of the things work. The only thing I know how to do is the zip line...which I must say is pretty fun! After an hour at the park, we left and went to McDonald's where Bryant played for another hour and a half. I figured by this time he would be worn out..no such luck. The boys were spending the night at Mom's so I took them over there where Bryant continued to run around like he had drank some kind of energy drink. Mom said he didn't go to bed until 11:30. I wish I had that much energy!
I guess today all of that no sleep caught up to him. He fell asleep while eating dinner and watching Toy Story. He didn't even wake up when I changed his diaper and put him to bed. Hopefully he sleeps all night.
While I was dealing with Bryant, Parker was screaming his head off. When I picked up Park out of his exersaucer, I got poop all over my arm. Needless to say he and I both got a bath...YUCK! Unexpected poop on you is the worst.
Now that I am writing this blog it doesn't seem like we did that much and I guess it wasn't really that crazy, except the incident with Parker tonight. It was just a long weekend and we seemed to go and go and go. But, it was fun and I wouldn't trade my time with them for anything...eventhough the occasional break is nice (thanks mom for my break last night!). I have to say that this new work schedule is a little difficult, but we are all adjusting and we will get into the swing of things soon!
I am sorry if this is kind of rambly...I am tired and it's late.
